Ljubljana is Slovenia's vibrant capital city with fabulous architecture, an inviting riverside promenade and overlooked by a castle on the hill.

Lake Bled is a photogenic lake resort huddled in the foothills of the Julian Alps with a church-topped island and cliff-hanging castle.  At Lipica Stud Farm, we were treated to a one-hour performance of the Lipizzaner stallions.  Skocjan Caves Park is an extraordinary underground canyon. We walked 3 kilometers passing numerous caves and passages, natural bridges and sinkholes. We were not allowed to take photos, so the last 2 are taken just outside the caves exit.
