This page is dedicated to Merlin, the lovely pool bartender.  This image was taken in January 2014.  Merlin was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident on November 3rd, 2014, her 39th birthday.  We missed her very much during our 2015 vacation.  Rest in peace.
Carolyn and I keep returning to this heavenly Cuban resort in Varadaro.  The grounds are beautifully kept, the gorgeous infinity pool overlooks the ocean  and the Cigar Bar is a perfect spot from which to watch the sunset.  The staff are very friendly, always cheerful and service-oriented.   We met so many lovely guests, mostly from Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, and B.C.  and enjoyed making new friendships.  In 2015, we had the pleasure of meeting Stephane and Claudia, a charming couple from Quebec, shown the first image.
