Tribute to Mary, Carennac
The tiny beautiful village of Carennac along the Dordogne River in upper Dordogne is special to me as it was my sister Mary's favourite village. In 1999 I scattered some of her ashes along this peaceful river bank beside the old rowing boats (Mary loved to fish) with the ducks softly quacking in the background. In 2016, Linda and I took a side trip from Paris to honour her memory. As is my tradition when I come back, we brought messages of love in the form of flowers we tossed in the river. We spent a lovely day in this charming village.
