I grew up in the Niagara Region, moved briefly to Waterloo in my late 20's and then relocated to Toronto in 1977 where I resided until just after I retired in 2011. The following year, I returned to the Niagara Region.
Photography has been my passion since I took my first images while on an extended European vacation in my early 20's. While I resided in Toronto, I was a member of the Etobicoke Camera Club and was actively involved on the executive. As well, I was a presenter of audio visual shows to camera clubs and an accredited competition judge for the Greater Toronto Council of Camera Clubs.
My "15 minutes of fame" came In 2003, when I entered, along with over 5000 others, the Toronto Star photo contest where I claimed first prize. This image can be found in the People gallery.
When I was working, the focus of photographic interests was primarily connected to my love of travel, being inspired by architecture, landscapes, people and graphic design. Now that I am retired, in addition to continuing to experience photographic moments abroad, I take great pleasure in exploring the opportunities that surround me in this beautiful region.
I live in Niagara Falls with my adorable rescue-cat, Gracie.
