Lake Plitvice National Park
We took a day tour from Split, Croatia to beautiful Lake Plitvice National Park. It is a UNESCO designated site which has over 100 waterfalls and 16 lakes. It has a walkway all around the park that is made of wooden slats and is about 3 feet wide. Since it is not a one-way path, it gets very crowded with all of the tour groups. At a congested spot, I somehow lost my footing and fell into about 2-3 feet of cold water. Two brave souls jumped in right after me to help me out. Unfortunately my Nikon camera got dunked and stopped working but my cell managed to survive. (The last pic below is a test photo that shows how narrow it is.) It was not fun being in wet clothes for over 5 hours! However, it could have been much worse. And when I got home, my Nikon seemed to have "dried out" and is now working again.
