Kilkenny & Kinsale
KILKENNY is known as Ireland's loveliest inland city. Its castle and cathedral stand like bookends on either end of High Street full of colourful shops and medieval facades. We had the best experience at Cleere's pub listening to traditional Irish music.
KINSALE, a charming town sheltered by a natural bay, is full of colourful buildings on its higgly-piggly streets. Closeby are the interesting ruins of Charles Fort, a massive 17th century fort.
The last 8 images were taken on a day trip to the Gardens of Powerscourt and Glendalough, where ruins of a monastic settlement exist.
